Glace Bay Winter Sunrise
Glace Bay is a community in Cape Breton, known for its production of coal. Settled as early as the 1720’s by the French, the area was used to provide coal for the Fortress of Louisbourg. In later years there were as many as four mines operating within the town boundaries. Present day there are about 20,000 residents of Glace Bay.
